Summary
Van Dyke Vineyards is a startup winery located in Hobbs, New Mexico. The husband and wife duo needed guidance in their new venture and I was ecstatic to take on this challenge with them. Being new to the wine market, their biggest challenge was that they needed to look more established with a high end look and feel. During the discovery phase I learned about the owner's blue collar background, building their success from the ground up - essentially living the American dream. The discovery session and research of the area played a huge part of the look of the logo. From the custom serif typeface created with the concept of hard work, to the elegant script concept that mimics the owners classiness. The logo embodies what their winery is all about.
Deeply rooted in their faith, the owners wanted a tie in with scripture, the Pearl of the Plains tagline was born. During the design phase of the wine labels, I used a pearl stock (shimmery but subtle) that pairs well with the tagline and the bottle really stands out on the shelf, catching the consumers eye.
